If you have a pain in your back, your hip, wrist, ankle - pretty much anywhere - you might have a musculoskeletal condition (often referred to as MSK ). MSK conditions affect your bones, joints and muscles. There are over 200 MSK conditions.
You will probably start off by going to see your GP or a First Contact Practitioner and if they think you need to see someone who knows a lot about musculoskeletal conditions you might be seen by a MICAS clinician.
MICAS is delivered by GPs with a Specialist Interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine together with Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioners.
They will review your symptoms and provide specialist assessments. The MICAS clinician can refer you to other services available at St George's University Hospitals such as physiotherapy or rheumatology to ensure you receive the right treatment as quickly as possible.
Simply select which condition you need help with. Once these steps are complete, you will be sent an email with all the information on how to get started.
